Empowering Neurodivergent Students in the Online Classroom: From Accommodations to Course Design

Online learning environments that address potential barriers to learning during the course design process create opportunities for student success from day one. This interactive workshop explores common challenges neurodivergent students may encounter in online courses and shifts the conversation beyond individual accommodations to proactive course design strategies. Participants will examine how course structures, content, and learning activities can unintentionally create barriers and learn practical approaches for making courses more accessible, flexible, and inclusive for a wide range of learners.
