What does it mean to be a motivating instructor? Does it have to do with personality and charisma, or is it communication and availability? These each make up pieces of the puzzle, but motivation can be much more complex than any one quality alone. The skills of becoming a motivating instructor can be learned, practiced, and enhanced. Being clear in your speech, providing information in multiple modalities to increase comprehension, and really “knowing your stuff” are a few key indicators of such an instructor. Watch the video below to learn more and see it in action! It provides a concise explanation – and demonstration – of what it takes to become a motivating instructor.
