This workshop is designed to explore how to design courses and materials that are accessible to all students. We will cover the basics of online accessibility, focusing on best practices for creating accessible course materials such as text documents (Word/PDF), images, and videos with captions. We’ll also go over key accessibility features in the Canvas LMS. This will also help meet the Title II requirement for ensuring digital accessibility by Spring 2027. 

Creating Accessible Content Presentation Slides

In this workshop, we will discuss frameworks for setting goals for student collaboration and strategies for building social presence in your course. We will also explore how to select the best instructional technology tools that align with your teaching and learning goals and examine how tools such as Canvas, WeVideo, Hypothesis, and others can support the design of effective collaborative assignments.
